I’m a Singapore based cinematographer, filmmaker & director, with a storytelling style that spans adversity, social issues, and the human condition. My work I moves between documentaries, narrative & art films — with a love for layered, conflicted and personal visuals.
I was the cinematographer for ground breaking docu-dramas “Black Thursday” (CNA) & “Brothers in Arms” (CNA), with a Best Cinematography National win at the Asian Academy Creative Awards & nominations in the Asian Television Awards. I also filmed the award-winning music video “Guide Us”.
I was the showrunner and director for “Borderlands”, a documentary series about life on Asia’s little known borders, nominated for best documentary series in the Asian Television Awards & Silver at the NY Film & TV Festival & “In Search of Heat”, a food & lifestyle show for 2 seasons – national winner at the Asian Academy Creative Awards & the World Media Festival Awards. Borderlands was also shown as part of the 2025 Jeju Biennale.
My creative portfolio in factual work is varied – from directing the wildlife feature documentary “Lionheart” (History Channel), one man’s mission in lion conservation in Africa to “Extinctions” (France5/Animal Planet) – a series about the conservation of animals in Asia. I’ve also travelled extensively – from filming the conflict in South Philippines to shooting with fire and rescue teams during the Cat 5 Super Typhon Sepat in Taiwan.
My films have screened internationally — from the Athens Digital Arts Festival to the Jeju Biennale. I’m also a member of the SGSC (Singapore Society of Cinematographers) & I love to be outdoors with family & friends.
